There’s no rushing or forcing poses; just genuine reactions, bright smiles, and the sweet chaos of your child enjoying their big day. Sessions can take place in your home, outdoors, or in my cosy Seven Hills studio.

Where are sessions held?
Sessions can take place at my beautiful home studio in Seven Hills, NSW. I also travel across Greater Sydney region, including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast; as well as Newcastle, Hunter Valley and South Coast regions; I am happy to go further when needed which may incur an additional fee.
What does my session package include?
Our home studio is filled with a variety of backdrops, outfits, and cake stands to make your session unique and memorable. You can browse the available backgrounds and outfits beforehand to plan your look.
We also offer fun splash sessions, designed to capture joyful, playful moments with your little one in a relaxed, comfortable setting.
What should we wear?
Keep it simple, comfortable, and fun! Outfits that are easy to move in and won’t restrict your little one work best. Bright colours, playful patterns, something special that reflects their personality, or a themed outfit are all perfect.
Many parents choose minimal clothing or a cute romper to highlight the cake and messy moments. Accessories like hats or headbands are optional but can add a fun touch. Remember, the focus is on your child’s expressions and joy, so choose outfits that let them explore, play, and enjoy every messy, memorable moment.
When should we book our session?
Cake smash sessions are best booked a few months in advance to secure your preferred date. Ideally, schedule your session around your child’s first birthday, as this milestone is what the session celebrates. Early booking ensures we have time to plan, personalise themes, and create a fun, relaxed experience.
Can I bring my own props?
Absolutely! You’re more than welcome to bring props to personalise your cake smash session. Whether it’s a favourite toy, a special keepsake, or themed decorations, your props can help make the session unique and reflect your child’s personality.
I’ll usually send a few photos via text the day before to confirm the setup, so you know exactly what to expect.
Do you provide a cake for the cake smash
No. Due to food intolerances and allergies, you will need to bring the cake with you to the session.
We’re happy to offer suggestions for local bakers and ideas to match your chosen theme. Bringing your own cake ensures it’s safe, special, and perfect for your child’s celebration.
